incontrivertible … incontrivertible evidence to anyone with eyes that sledding with huskies is what they love doing best -they’re sooo excited -and they’ve done this lots of times before so if they didn’t love it they wouldn’t be looking so excited, durr!

@Batchagaloop @ … @Batchagaloop @Batchagaloop Make it fun. Hugs, kisses & cookies! Work with experienced racers. Put new dogs with experienced dogs; they will teach the pups. Training = conditioning & learning the basics of team work. Practice makes perfect i.e. positive reinforcement & repetition of good runs. Hydration; they run on water and good food. Dogs experience stress, so pay attention. Some dogs look like good sled dogs but they arent, so dont force it. Have fun!
Thanks for your comment.

@savehedda I do … @savehedda I do think that you should learn what a husky is all about before you start to criticize someone. When I watch this video I see a group of dogs that are soooo excited about pulling that they can’t contain themselves. I can also see that they continuously have smiles on their faces. I really can’t wait to start training my puppy!

@savehedda FYI each … @savehedda FYI each and every dog that ever lived with us was treated with great respect and love. No dog was ever “dragged” anywhere. They lived in great conditions with lots of opportunities to run around and play (and Pee).

i think it´s brutal … i think it´s brutal how they drag them out of the cages and put them on the chain. if they had respect for these dogs, they yould treat them differently. they are not a toy. its okay to let them pull a sled, but maybe they want to run around a little bit on their own, play (and pee).

Well I may not be … Well I may not be an expert, but I do know that if you wanna have a sled dog team they have to be born wanting to run. Haha i too would love my huskie being able to pull me on a sled but He’s just not that kind of dog =D Pluss thease dogs have been trained there whole lives to run.

How to make them … How to make them keep running on the right track? My friends and I have some huskies, and we’d like to start doing this sport, but the problem is that there’s only 1 dog which is pulling, the other two seem to enjoy their outside world alone more than to pull the sled/autopad (;p).
Do you have any tips for me?
thx b4….

There are some … There are some great websites for commands and how to train. We start in the fall with new dogs letting them pull tires across the yard. They go into a harness, we attach a line to them, then to the tire. We use a leader line to guide them as to what to do. A leash will do too. Commands depend on where you live. We use Gee, Haw, Hold out, Hike up, easy, whoa, Get up and so on. All of these can be googled. Good luck, it’s a great sport.

never seen a 3- … never seen a 3-wheeled titler rig before. I wander why all the land rigs you see from the US use very small wheels?
In the UK 20″ wheels are prefered.
