Education begins at home, but it doesn’t end there. It’s important that you supplement your dog’s home schooling with a good obedience class – or several! Why is obedience school so necessary? Well, here’s a starter list:
1. You and your dog will learn more advanced commands. You’ve got a good start with “sit” and “let’s go,” but in class you’ll master exercises like “down,” “stay,” “heel,” “stand” and “come” as well – the vocabulary she’ll need to become a really responsive and trustworthy friend and partner.
2. Your instructor can address your specific needs. Books and videotapes are great, but they can’t stay after class to discuss your dog’s individual problems or strong points, they can’t demonstrate new moves to you, and they can’t tell you whether you’re holding your leash funny or giving your dog a confusing command. There’s really no substitute for the one-on-one attention and suggestions of a good instructor.
3. You ‘II learn from the other people and dogs in the class. Your classmates may have new ideas for you, or you may pick up tips just from watching them. And you’ll find that they’re sympathetic to your problems and proud of your successes in ways that your non-dog-loving friends may not be.
4. Your dog will get used to other people and dogs. This is a biggie. No amount of backyard practice can teach your dog to behave in the presence of other exciting people or pups. And if your dog is still a little worried about the world at large – and many of them are – obedience class will give her a chance to make friends and gain confidence. So even if you’ve already been through obedience class with another dog and know the ropes, it’s a good idea to take your new dog to a class of her own.
5. It’ll give you an incentive to train your dog. Let’s face it, sometimes it’s tough to get motivated for your daily training sessions when you know only a couple of exercises and you don’t have an instructor and classmates to keep you from getting lazy!
6. You’ll have a terrific time. Obedience class is fun! You’ll make new friends (I know several married couples who met in obedience class) and get lots of exercise, and your relationship with your new dog will soar to new levels. And who knows? You might just get hooked on dog training and find yourself with a new hobby.

Is Christianity still an effective tool in ensuring that the lower & middle classes are kept obedient?
by the ruling plutocracy.
What I mean is is the notion of , "pie in the sky when you die"* still credible to today’s industrialized peasantry
*quoted of labor leader Joe Hill who was murdered by the State of Utah
when looking at all of the politicians who have affairs, kids out of wedlock, committing acts of war…
i would say yes, religion is not for the powerful.

Christianity open the doors for people to be blessed, and to prosper. The only thing is it does take effort on their parts; so sitting on your butt waiting for the free welfare check only keeps you just alive and afraid to elect anyone who isn’t Democrat.

In Christianity, there is no class. Under the rules of God, capitalism makes all possible to be rich or poor by their choice. The founding fathers were careful to make sure that they constructed a government that is exactly as God set up Israel in the beginning. We have distorted that and need to bring it back in line.
No one in the United States of America has a right to complain of the class that they are in. They have all the opportunities to change that if they so desire.

Life is often a struggle for many of us, but if we are truly people of faith, it shouldn’t matter. Being rich or poor doesn’t affect our faith (or shouldn’t) and the freedom in Jesus is available to all. Any "plutocracy" is merely done by men and not reflective of God.

I don’t think so. I’ve always noticed how certain kinds of people will frequently bring up God in conversation and claim to believe in Christianity, yet their life style involves pre-marital sex, theft, violence of various forms, and basically a whole bunch of things that completely go against their supposed beliefs.
So if they really believe in God, why would they do all the things that God supposedly doesn’t want people to do and will send them to hell for? It doesn’t make sense.

But the young folks of today will have NONE OF IT. They are turning to paganism ( wicca/witchcraft ect. ) in DROVES it’s growing faster than xtianity in america. ( as it should )
And it gladdens my heart to see it. I was tossed a figure ( un-official ) in the early 90’s that said folks into Wicca/Witchcraft number almost 40 million worldwide with Millions in america AND WE VOTE! ) think how many there are now!

The Marxist ideals of the ruling class, the labor, the proletariat etc. are even less valid today than they were in Marx’s time. The Communist ideal is, and has been proven to be, as much "pie in the sky" as you claim Christianity is.

I cannot speak for christianity, as a whole, but having one’s faith grounded with the Lord is quite another! I am obedient unto the Lord, not for any other reason other than I desire to do so! I want to please Him, above all else in my life.
